Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

The short version: we don't collect your data, because we designed the product so we never need to.

Who runs this site

Relax Button is run by Justas Jarmalavičius, a sole trader in Lithuania (individuali veikla), trading as plainforge. He is also the data controller for the little information described below, in the sense the GDPR uses the word.

How this is paid for

Relax Button is free and always will be. It carries no ads on the button itself and never will, because an advert in the middle of a breathing exercise would defeat the point.

Some pages may contain affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Where that is the case it is marked on the page itself, not only here. Two commitments come with it. We only link to something we would recommend without a commission, and a commission never changes what we say about a product. If a thing is mediocre we will say so, or we will not mention it.

Affiliate links may pass a referral identifier to the merchant so the commission is attributed. That happens on the merchant's site, under their privacy policy, and only if you choose to click. Nothing about you is sent anywhere while you are simply using the button.

Privacy policy

What we collect

Nothing personal. Relax Button has no accounts, no sign-up, no cookies, no advertising identifiers and no tracking pixels. We do not collect names, email addresses, usage profiles or any other personal data through the site.

What stays on your device

Your session preferences (chosen sound, breathing pattern, session length and volume) are stored in your browser's localStorage so the site remembers them next time. This data never leaves your device, is not readable by us, and is deleted if you clear your browser data. The audio itself is synthesized on your device; nothing is streamed and no audio requests are made.

Server logs

Like virtually every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard, short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, user agent and requested URL) for security and reliability. We do not use these to identify or profile visitors.

Analytics

If we measure traffic at all, we use a cookieless, privacy-respecting counter (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that records aggregate page views only — no cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers. If it isn't active, nothing is measured.

Email

If you write to hello@plainforge.com, we'll have your email address and whatever you send. It's used only to reply, never added to any list, and deleted on request.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have rights over your personal data. Since we hold none unless you've emailed us, exercising them is simple: email us and we'll delete the correspondence. To remove locally stored preferences, clear this site's data in your browser settings.

Terms of use

What this is

Relax Button is a free relaxation and focus tool provided as-is, for personal use, with no warranties of any kind. We work to keep it accurate, available and pleasant, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted operation on every device and browser.

Not medical advice

Relax Button is not a medical device and provides no medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Breathing exercises, soundscapes and the accompanying articles are offered as general relaxation practice. They are not a substitute for professional care. If you have a respiratory or cardiovascular condition, are pregnant, or experience dizziness during breathing exercises, breathe normally and consult a professional before using paced-breathing patterns. If stress, anxiety or sleep problems are seriously affecting your life, please seek qualified help.

Sensible listening

Use moderate volume, especially with headphones. Do not use guided breathing sessions while driving or operating machinery.

Content

Site text and design are © RelaxButton.com. You're welcome to link to any page — deep links to preset sessions are a feature, not a violation. Please don't republish articles wholesale.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for damages arising from use of this site. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using it (although we'd rather you emailed us first).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protections of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and nothing here takes those away.

Changes

If we change these terms or this policy, we'll update this page and its effective date. Since we don't have your contact details, we can't notify you directly — materially relevant changes will be noted here.
